Here are some resources for your students to keep the momentum as you head toward the finish line of your Magnified Giving program.
Each of these lessons have been designed to assist as you are transitioning from your standard classroom lessons to a virtual school platform. Each of these lessons may be implemented from home and submitted electronically. We know you will adjust each of these lessons to best fit your group of students, just as you have the flexibility to implement the Magnified Giving 6 step curriculum to best fit your school culture and program.

Social Cause Discovery Worksheet (PDF Version)
This is a great lesson to be utilized if your group is in the beginning stage of the program or deeper in the steps. Utilize this worksheet to allow the students to think about their neighborhood, school community and own home. This worksheet not only investigates their passions on a local level but also allows the students to examine how our community connects on a larger scale, to think outside of their immediate neighborhood. They will be asked to examine their identified social cause on a LOCAL, STATE, NATIONAL, and GLOBAL level.
Magnified Giving Initial Research Guide (PDF Version)
This lesson has been designed to continue the NPO research process. We have provided guided questions for the students to research through the NPOs website, Qualified NPO Registration information on the MGPROGRAMS website, and/or Grant Application. We are encouraging three NPOs to be researched, however you have full autonomy to adjust the lesson to your groups needs!
Presentation Project – Directions and Rubric (PDF Version)
This document provides direction and a grading rubric to guide your students through the process of creating a Google Slide or PowerPoint supporting the NPO they have decided to put forward for the $1,000.00 grant! This document is great to assist you, the teacher/facilitator in the grading process and to allow your student to grade their own efforts. Again, utilize this document as it will fit your students needs and learning.
Presentation Worksheet – INDIVIDUAL Magnified Giving Project (PDF Version)
his document will guide your students in creating their individual presentation for the NPO they have selected. The Presentation Project includes 4 primary categories: 1. Stating your Argument/Thesis – identifying the NPO selected, social cause and the mission of the organization. 2. Claims – 10 reasons WHY they are supporting this particular NPO, with reason #10 allowing them to reflect on WHY it matters to them personally. 3. Evidence – provide evidence/facts to support the claims provided in the presentation. 4. Conclusion – restate the thesis and share the final closing argument. Finally citing their sources

To ensure the video is an appropriate length to be shared the guide only asks for a few points from each section to be included and to keep their responses 1 to 2 sentences. However this document is encouraging them to conduct a deep research on their reasons for supporting the NPO selected.
