What is the mission of your organization?
We hope to further support the teen mothers of Butler County and their young children in the following ways:

-Encouraging self-sufficiency and well-being among those in need by providing practical hands-on training to help our teen mothers establish healthy habits for themselves and their families.

-Making a difference among women in the community by promoting volunteerism by providing our teen mothers with the opportunity to serve new teen mothers that are not already connected to the support system of YoungLives.

-Continuing to build a network that is a catalyst for positive change and serve the Butler/Warren County communities through monthly YoungLives meetings, with the additional provision for added programs to educate our teen mothers.

Which social causes (up to 3 choices) does your agency address through its programming? *
  • (3) Children
  • (5) Education
  • (11) Poverty
Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? We seek to bring about generational change by educating, encouraging, and supporting teen moms who are pregnant and parenting and providing lasting experiences to encourage bonding and memory building with their child. We also strive to provide hope for YoungLives moms and babies to be seen, known, and loved by a community who believes in their future.
Does your organization have volunteer opportunities available for students? * Yes, Grades 6 – 12
List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web. We have opportunities for middle school and high school students to serve as childcare workers watching the babies while mentors meet with the teen moms once a month and/or preparing a meal for the YoungLives group once a month meeting in May.
