What is the mission of your organization? Enriching the lives of children in need.

HTC helps children in poverty by reducing poverty-associated risks. By providing caregivers with the essential clothing, equipment, and hygiene items needed for their children, families can redirect their limited resources to essential items like housing, transportation, education, and child care.

Partnering with 50 area social service agencies results in the enhancement of services provided to families in need without duplicating efforts across agencies.

Because we are a local organization that serves many children every year, we have numerous volunteer opportunities for students to actively engage in making a difference in the lives of local children in need. When students volunteer at HTC, they are supporting more than a charity organization; they are making a positive impact on the health, education, and safety of our region’s future leaders.

We are open M-Th 10AM-4PM. Students often help after school and during school breaks. We also host several community events throughout the year that require volunteer support; these events serve as great opportunities for students to help on evenings and weekends.

Students often help in the following ways:

Care package/clothing assistance
Toy room
Clothing inventory
Diaper wrapping
Dental Kit assembly
Equipment
Event prep
Blankets & Bears pattern cutting
