Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? Cancer Family Care is the only local non-profit social service organization providing private and personalized counseling and supportive services to children, adults, and families coping with cancer. Our evidence-based support helps clients open up about what they are going through, which can diminish depression, anxiety, and feelings of sadness and isolation. We assist more than 3,000 clients every year, with an average of 85% of counseling clients reporting that with our help they were able to maintain or improve their ability to cope regardless of the course of cancer. We are proud to help 900+ children every year through intensive counseling specialized to meet their unique needs.

In essence we are a mental health agency, providing counseling to individuals and families affected by cancer. The clients we serve range from age 4 through adulthood.

List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web. We could use help with assembling bookmarks and other educational materials for children coping with cancer.
